Saskatchewan Official Provincial Flower - Western Red Lily

This is the Western Red Lily (Lilium philadelphicum L. var. andinum) and was adopted as the official flower of Saskatchewan, Canada in 1941. This floral emblem usually flowers at the end of June or beginning of July. The fruit is an elongated egg-shaped capsule in three sections.
