New Brunswick Official Provincial Flower - Purple Violet

This is the Purple Violet (Viola cucullata) and was adopted as the official flower of New Brunswick on December 1, 1936 as a result of the efforts of the provincial Women's Institute. It has a delicate flower which can be eaten.
