British Columbia Official Provincial Flower - Pacific Dogwood
| This is the Pacific Dogwood (Cornus nuttallii) and was adopted in 1956 as British Columbia's floral emblem. The Pacific dogwood is a tree that grows six to eight metres high and flowers in April and May. In the fall it has bright red berries and brilliant foliage. It is is one of the most handsome native ornamental trees on the Pacific Coast. |
